🌻 Sunflower Illusions Quilt Class with Becky Forbes

Six sessions · Wednesdays & Thursdays, October 14–15, 21–22 and 28–29, 2026 · 10:15 AM–3:15 PM

Take on Judy and Brad Niemeyer's Sunflower Illusions (Quiltworx) over three weeks with Becky guiding you through every step. Part of Quiltworx's Fireworks Block Mixer series, this one layers real technique: foundation paper piecing, floating points, Template Layout Sheets, and curved paper piecing to attach the sunflower veins. Once the paper piecing is done the blocks come together with traditional curved piecing. Finishes at 60" x 72".

Six sessions gives the group room to work at a steady pace rather than racing, with a week between each pair to keep sewing at home. The pattern adapts beautifully to strips and a background from your own stash, so bring what you love — Becky will help you sort the values.

Skill level: Some quilting experience recommended — you should be comfortable at your machine and with basic piecing. No prior paper piecing needed; Becky teaches it from the start.
Class size: Limited to 5.
Format: Sit and sew — bring your machine.
