Mettler Silk-Finish is a 50wt, 3-ply thread of 100% long-staple Egyptian cotton, mercerized for strength and sheen, colorfast and low-shrink. Mettler's all-rounder for piecing, machine quilting, applique, garment sewing and hand work. 547 yd (500 m) spool.

Use a 70/10 or 80/12 needle — the Schmetz Microtex in both sizes is on the needle wall.
