Pickled Beets – Quilt Pattern | Latifah Saafir Studios

A pickle dish worked in two very different looks from the same pattern, a Picnic Dish version with arcs of pieced points and a Pennants version that reads like bunting. The points are lightweight paper pieced so the angles stay sharp, then set together with gentle curved seams.

Two sizes: baby at 40" x 52" and throw at 60" x 72". Printed paper pattern.

Fabric requirements for the baby size: 1 yard background arc, 1 yard background points, 1 1/4 yards pickle dish points, 3 1/4 yards backing and 1/2 yard binding. For the throw: 3 1/2 yards background arc, 1 2/3 yards background points, 1 2/3 yards pickle dish points, 4 1/2 yards backing and 1 yard binding. Backing figures allow 5" of overage on all sides.
