Hexie Pillow – Pillow Pattern | Modern Handcraft

A modern take on English paper piecing that skips the basting, using fusible templates and glue so the hexies go together considerably faster than by hand. Written for a cushion but the technique carries over to any hexie project, and the pattern includes a bonus Hexie Flower Pillow layout as well.

Finished size: 19" x 19". Difficulty: advanced beginner. Printed paper pattern.

Material requirements: 1 yard of fabric for the pillow front, lining and back panels, 2 1/2" squares for the hexies, 1" hexagon templates, a 21" x 21" piece of batting or fusible fleece, permanent fabric glue, an acrylic ruler and a fabric pen or Hera marker. We carry the Hera markers and the fusible fleece.
