Desert Sky is one of Quiltworx's most popular beginner patterns, designed by Bradley and Judy Niemeyer. Foundation paper piecing builds the units, then curved piecing and traditional piecing join them. Template Layout Sheets speed the cutting — the fat quarters are stacked and cut in groups — and the pattern is routinely re-released to match current fabric collections.
Printed paper pattern with instructions, cover sheet, yardage information and foundation papers. Finished size 48" x 54". Extra foundation packages make it larger: one for twin (68" x 87" or 68" x 93"), two for queen (87" x 87" or 93" x 93"), two or three for king (107" x 107").
