Join us for a fun, beginner-friendly class as we make the Jelly-Roll Rug Squared— a simplified version of the popular Jelly-Roll Rug pattern, designed with ease in mind and no tricky curves! Just straight seams!
This updated version of the Jelly-Roll Rug2 pattern features expanded instructions, clear diagrams, photos, and new options to create a variety of rug shapes:
- The classic rectangle
- A charming half-round
- Two versatile rounded bath or vanity mats
This project is perfect for all skill levels—just be comfortable using your sewing machine. You'll transform a jelly roll into a functional, cozy rug you'll love.
Supplies needed:
- 1 Jelly Roll (or 40 strips, 2.5" x WOF)
- 1 Bosal Katahdin On-A-Roll (Item #390K-75)
- Clover Fabric Tube Maker (Item #4022CV)
- Jelly-Roll Rug Squared pattern (required)
- Size 12–16 Jeans, Microtex, or Topstitch sewing machine needles
- 1200 yards of 50 wt thread (either to match or contrast with your fabric)
- Pressing spray (we recommend Best Press)
- Soluble marking pen
- Sewing machine in good working order that can do a wide zigzag stitch
- Lunch or snack
